Default Max power on 4L65E

Just wanted to know what the most power some of you guys are running on your 4L60/65E trannys and for how long? Ive been running 450rwhp for around 3+months and I had to firm up the pressure on the valve body for more positive shifts. Other than that it running good. Just wondering how long it will last.

Wow, a auto trans section and no one with real trans knowledge? Cmon guys, anyone? 4L65E same internals, just about, as 4L60E so same knowledge applies. Anyone?

No ones answering because its a loaded question requiring a crystal ball , We have units over the 600 rwhp range running over a year on our level 2 and 3 with 100s of track passes , But then there are some stock trans running high power and holding an some that don't make it past bolt ons. As for the 60/65e the primary difference is the addition of five pinion planets and additional clutch in the 3-4 set. Is it alot stronger than a 60E I would say no IMO a little but certainly no where near as strong as a properly built 60e or 65e . I know this does not tell you anything really but is some commentary. I didn't reply before because you were asking people who had run a stock 65e and I cant say that I have all the units I have ever run were built units in either type.

Patience there, guy.

My stock 4L65E in my '05 GTO with a stalled 2800 3 disc vig converter worked great with just headers and catback. However, when I put a procharger on and started pushing 540+ to the wheels, it would not take the 2-3 shift under WOT, and ultimately the 3-4 clutch pack blew (within a couple days).

Thnx for the reply. You dont need a crystal ball, I just asked for personal experiences. A built tranny is in the works for me real soon but Im wondering how long it will last me. I know you cant tell but if it lasted you a week a month or a year let me hear your story. Thnx for replying though. Thats good info I didnt know on the planetary's and clutches.
