trans shift problems
well if you are trying to shift it yourself dont do that. that will increase the chance of going to the red limiter. and if it still does it bad, sounds like mabe a band clearence issue. how many miles are on it? are you running a stock stall? well ive heard that getting a tune is the best way to solve that problem,but i leave mine in 3rd and let it shift and it works good. so im waiting for a stall them tuning it.
Ok several questions .
1-Has there been any tuning for the stall ?
2- Any recent gear changes in the rear and if so was tuning also done for that?
3- is this on all shifts or just the 1-2 or 2-3?
Also I will also say I recently learned a couple things about gears changes that may or may not apply to you,
simply changing the VSS to correct ratio in the tune may not be enough other changes may be needed for shift points with MPH and RPM .
1- The RPM to speed ratio will have changed
2-With a lower gear ratio such as a swap from 273 to 410 you may need to allow more time for the shift, Since though the time its takes for a transmission to make a shift at WOT (MAX LINE) is a constant time, The rate at which RPM and MPH are increasing with the lower gear are much faster so a greater allowance may need to be made between commanded shift and actual shift. This would also hold true for any power adders that significantly increase the rate either of these rise.
