Default have problems with my Vig. 3200 locking up

ok lately i been having some problems with my stall locking up. It will lockup but slip in and out until the car gets up to speed. I recently install a bigger trans cooler because my other one was a old style and it was kinda getting to hot. I replaced it with a B&M 28000 GVW its pretty big and thick. my temps dropped big time.

But I did some scanning yesterday with HP Tuners and noticed that my car retards timing when it starts slipping. I have a ory and it bangs the floor a little but while we did the scan it never sent a false knock. Also I have some old/bad o2 sensors. I will put new ones in today. hopefully that will fix my problem.

anyone have problems like this? I really want to fix this issue because its kinda annoying

Thanks

If you get any misfires it'll unlock the TC. They may be real or they could be false. You might want to scan for misfires and confirm this.

The KR is likely false and is cuased by the Y-pipe hitting the floor. Most either clearance for it or add a piece of heater hose between the floorboard and y-pipe to take the shock out of it.

Sounds like there is not a problem with the converter but with the vehicle. As mentioned misfires will effect the way a transmission functions. I do know that you can raise your misfire tables to help correct this. I would definitely get the exhaust to stop rubbing as well. Vince

i did the scanning. it didn't feel like the y pipe was bangin during the lockup, it felt like false knock while locking up. its consistent with doing it, with the surging a few times before locking. im not sure if its cause of the stall or the fueling or something. i guess i can try bumping the knock table 1*(thats how much it was retarding) and see if it still does it. i was thinkin it might be the load range of the lockup or some sort of harmonics with the stall.
