Default Particles in Tranny Fluid and Trans Mount Bolt Size?

I am in the middle of a converter swap and pulled the pan last night only to find there was some sludge in the bottom. Some of it was attached to the magnet and then there were a few very very small pieces of metal in the pan as well. The car has been driving fine and no issues with shifting etc. so I don't know if this is just normal friction material or something that should be checked while the tranny is out. The fluid is red and looks/smells just fine. The temps were getting up there around town in the 220's (new cooler going in) and I've had it overheat at the track as well.

On a side note when I went from my T56 to TH400 install I had a very bad vibration as well. I found that my tranny mount was never bolted to the cross memeber. Since I didn't do the swap this fact is a bit frustrating. I wonder if this has anything to do with the very hard shift between Reverse and a forward gear.

Since my bolts are now missing does anyone know what the correct bolt size is to bolt the tranny mount back to tranny in a TH400?
