There is nothing in the converter that needs a break-in period. Go WOT after the install.

That is a question I get a lot. And will the stall change any after it is broke in. Well, it is what it is. The only thing in question would be the lock up clutch and after a few lock-up cycles it is good to go. The stall might change as the fluid gets hotter and thinner, but that is about it.

Aww, on Yank's website it says drive 150 miles before going WOT to break in...so I went by that...it was hard too.... cause I've only put 3000 miles on my car in a year...so to put 150 on it in one day before going to the track was rough.

also another quick question, I was curious about transmission fluid all that is available locally right now is penzoil and valvoline atf fluid. I was going with factory gm fluild which is now dexron 6 but they can't get any in until late next week and I need the fluid asap. As long as the fluid is rated dexron 3 and i change it often, do you think it matters, let me know what you think. There is more atf fluid available but its either synthetic or no name brand.

just get dexron III, as long as it says it meets or exceeds the standards it's fine. Just change it often.

yank says you need to go easy for the first few hundred miles. i will do that since i have one of their stalls. i have not heard of one other company say that there is a break in procedure for a new stall. i will definatly go easy and make sure it shifts through the gears properly. you will probably be ready to go once you know it is shifting and operating properly.
