Default Pretty much a noob TC (Stall) question

I have read a lot of info on here all about stalls but the one thing that catches my eye is most people don't point out what tire is required to reap the amazing performance increase from even a smaller stall. Am I right to assume that if I have to stick with street tires that I shouldn't even bother with a larger stall? Or would something like a 3000 work? Thanks for any info you guys can provide.

Oh a 3000 stall would change your world even with street tires

Just so you know, your wording gave me a laugh, but I wouldn't just spin all over the place? Before I invest in a stall I want to make sure I can utilize it with street tires. Also, if a 3000 does work and is the max with street tires what does everyone think about the Circle D one? It seems like a very good deal.

If you want traction at WOT from a dig or low speed, you're going to need drag radials - even with a 3000. Otherwise, you'll just spin and smoke.

But all the benefits of a hi-stall converter aren't limited to time slips at the track. There's a big increase in driveability at part throttle ... at least for converters wtih reasonable stall speeds.

Hmm...well even with stock stall you can't just go hitting the pedal from a dig. I guess if I can't utilize the larger stall for it's main purpose (good launches), I just won't bother.

Ur gonna have to LEARN how to launch more so on street tires than on stickyes...even tho on stickeys it takes some time to learn how the stall likes to be launched.

Get a lower str. on the stall. Yank use to make a stall that was 3500 and a 1.7 str. I think if you at least get a 3000 stall with a 1.9 or 2.0 you would be ok.
