Default Swapping in a 00 6.0

I have a ? I am putting in a 6.0 LQ4 from a 00 2500 into my 98 z28 with a 4l60e, I know the crank is longer on the early model 6.0. Will my 4l60e tranny that is in my 98 z28 bolt up? I heard that the convertor wouldnt work? What can I do about this? I dont really want to put a 350turbo in my car yet.

You will need a special converter for your application. The early LQ4 used the 4L80 that had an SBC style converter. I am not sure if you can simply remove the adapter and make it work. You may want to call up one of the transmission sponsors.
