hey guys, im bout to be moving out of state. so ill be forced to pretty much drive the Z. just wondering if any of u guys drove on a long road trip with your beefed up trannies? anybody have any issues or anything?

 

im sure you will be fine.

 

Ive done a few 700ish mile trips no issues. If its made to hold up to hard launces and shifts im sure cruising down the highway will be no problem.

I have driven from Ohio to Tenn. a few times and never had any problems with my 4l80e

 

sweet thanks guys!! anybody else went cross country with there built tranny? ill be driving about 1100 miles.

 

I've been on a couple hot rod Power Tours in my car with an FLT level 4 and vig 3600 with an aux trans cooler and fan. each was around 3000 miles in a week with no problems at all. that is everything from beating on it, high speed, sitting in stop and go traffic, all in the 90+ deg heat too. so I'm sure you will be fine.

 

thats cool to hear man!! im pretty nervous driving 1200 miles on a cammed/stalled car.
