Does anyone in the Aurora,Il. area have a car with either of these stalls(3200 or 3600) in them? I would like to ride in your car to see how they feel, I've heard stories of the car rolling back on hills, which I really don't want to happen. I live in a town with lots of hills. Will I need a tune after the converter install? j

You won't have problems with it rolling back. I've got a PT4400 and on level ground, when I release the brakes, it'll creep forward on its own. And yes, you will need a tune to take full advantage of the converter....namely, adjusting the shift points, lock-up characteristics and perhaps shift firmness.

Well if you are stuck with just these two options, keep in mind that the Vigs are under rated for our LS1s. The Vig 3200 is closer to a 3700-3800 and a Vig 3600 is more like a 4000-4200 depending on your power level. I think they are rated using the LT1 HP/TQ. Unless you go with a stall over 4000, I don't think rolling back will be an issue.
Between those two choices, I'd have to lean towards the Yank 3600.
It is a great idea to find someone with one and drive it first. A converter will change the whole feel of the car.

I love my 3 disc Vig. Had several Yanks, but they were either too loose on the spray (PT4000) or too tight off (SS3600). My driveway is moderately steep, but I only need 1500 rpm to climb it. On level ground, it'll move smartly @ idle.

I read that Monster is a Dacco converter. Not really familiar with either of them. I will say that I have many customers that run a Yank or a Vig from PI. Both of which are very good converters and remember you get what you pay for. Maybe you should start a thread is anyone running a Dacco converter. Vince

Im going to be running a 3disc 3600 vig in a couple weeks. I live in Chicago if you want to come down for a ride. Ive ran an 4000ss yank and a 3k vig. For my applications at those time they both worked great.

I am on a budget and the monster stall did have some very good reviews and great price but after thinking about my trans U R correct that I will be going with either a vig or yank because they are proven stalls. Now my question is what size stall to go with? I keep hearing about going to small 2800 vs 3200. My car is for the street only DD. It only has LT's, Lid and cat back system. It will never see the track.
