hard shifting 4L60

hard shifting 4L60 My 98 Z has a really hard shift, especially on the 1-2 shift. The car seems like it is at full line pressure. When you pull it into gear from park, it drops hard into gear and if cruising at highway speeds and you tap the brake, the lockup disengages firmly where you can obviously feel it. Any input on what could be causing it. I was told the valve body is stuck, is this true or is it something else more simple.

Well first do you have any ses lights codes?

My guess would e a mechanically bad PCS that would not set a code and would cause the issue you describe

is it normal to feel the converter unlocking, I assume thats what i feel when you hit the brakes a highway speed, not much but you can feel something happening nothing bad, but after reading this i hope just because you can feel the converter unlocking i hope its not a bad thing, my mods are in sig.
