Default Just replaced my trans mount man world of difference.

It's a stock rubber mount but I'm tellin you it's like nite and day compared to what it was doing before with the broken stock mount, And when I say broken I mean severed my mechanic dropped cross member and it almost fell to the ground lucky he caught it LOL. It's only temp thought till I get a new tq arm relocation bracket then I can go with a solid mount. I have no idea how long the stock rubber one is gonna last LOL.

it's nice to be able to punch it from a dead stop and not have the tranny sound like it's gonna smack a hole in the floor board, isn't it?! Congrats man.

It's only temp I'm sure I'll break it again LOL. I need a solid mount so no more breaky breaky . But that's in the future the stock rubber one will do for now.

My replacement mount was a cheapy brand called Anchor and it lasted all of two months........and I don't beat on the car regularly. I recently installed an Energy Suspension poly mount and couldn't be happier. You might want to check one out too

mines an anchor too, but I wouldnt trust running a energy mount without the tq arm location bracket, It's kinda pricey but it's worth it when you factor in the cost of a new trans due to the fact of a broken tail shaft.

how you figure on braking the tail shaft due to poly mounts? Not being a smart ***, just curious as I'd like to learn more. I have a few buds running the exact same mount without the TA relocated and none have any problems.....and all of my friends cars are much faster and driven much harder than mine.

Because the trans needs to flex with the car our trans moves alot especially with the shift settings sent to has firm as they can go, I've heard horror stories of tail shafts breaking because the trans wasnt able to twist with the chassis. Hence the reason to get the tq arm relocation bracket it relocates the tq arm from the trans to the cross member.

I can't wait to put a poly one in my 95. Ever time I start the car the trans bashes the floor. Driving at 85 on the highway shakes the car. I can watch the passenger's seat shake.

that sucks man, I was gonna say that you'll probably get about a handful of hard launches on the Anchor then it's toast. I would still grab a poly even if you plan on relocating your TA bracket later down the road. I know of several friends running LT1/LS1 A4 and M6 alike with no problems like breaking the tail shaft.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you come across these horror stories with the poly mounts breaking things? Firsthand or the internet? This board? Unless you've seen it happen in person I would take alot of things you read on the net with a grain of salt. Meaning there IS some great info but alot of times just a lot of bad info being circulated from board to board. For example..........when I was doing research on the Energy Suspension mounts for my car, many of the posts on here regarding post install impressions had me believing that the mounts would rattle your fillings loose, churn milk into butter, etc. Most certainly NOT the case.

OK so I'm done rambling............this was NOT meant to offend anyone! If I did........then my apologies. I'm just trying to save you some time and money bro
