I found out what was wrong with my Transmission..

How in the heck do you snap an input shaft clean in half like this??

yeah my trans builder said he has never seen a car do this with out No2..

anyway, got the thing back together and hope to get it back in tonight

The converter lockup strategy and the converter build can contribute to this type of failure.

Some converter clutches hubs are cushioned (similar to the cltuch disc on a manual trans) others are not. A 4L60 series trans should have a converter with a cushioned clutch IMO.

The shaft has to have the oil pasages holes drilled in it, and they weaken it even further. Most I've seen broken were further forward.
