Default 4l80e differnces?

is there a difference in the 4wd and 2wd 4l80e? or are the same and the 4wd just has a transfer case?

i believe you need a different output shaft and a tailshaft to swap it in.

It holds more power right the 4l80 i mean and how much does it weight over the 60e?

In the FAQ pages it lists weights, but if memory serves a 4l60 is around 200lbs and a 4l80 is about 275lbs.

A 2WD 4L80E is 178 lbs dry without converter.

Most people aren't going to install a 4L80E with the stock converter and an aftermarket piece is considerably lighter, so the trans should be weighed without it for an accurate comparison.

4L60E is ~140 ish. I can weigh an LT1 unit, but don't have any LS1 units in the shop right now.
