Shifting quick
Shifting quick ok I have a 4000 stall BTE converter after I put it in and bring the car up past 3100-3200( it will stall about 3500-3700 at the track on et streets) it takes off in 2nd gear no matter where the selection lever is at.. most people I have called have no idea. TCI tech and speed works said its prob the 1st gear shift solnoid is weak and when line press goes up it just floods it with so much press it just goes into the next gear..?? what do you think ?? I really would like to know what this is before taking out the trans. thanks !

Re: Shifting quick You won't have to drop the whole trans to change the solenoid-just the pan/valve body. Do you have access to some scanning software such as ATAP to confirm the actual gear to what the PCM is commanding?
Re: Shifting quick yea it shows shift time .3 sec after i let off the brake, it wont do it still but soon as i let off the brake you cant feel it shift but i can tell its in 2nd and computer shows 2nd
