There is probably some underlying hydraulic issue thats being missed during the build.

Tell him to carefully inspect the inside of the stator tube for wear grooves

Can you give us details on the build, specifically other than the clutches mentioned what is in it?

Also, what is the experience level of your builder?

Obviously we have a dyno that we test our transmissions on to make sure that they function properly before you receive them. If I was your builder I would like for you to get a pressure gauge on this vehicle to make sure that everything is working correctly. As mentioned above there other things in the trans that need to be looked at when the units is built to make sure that it has proper hydraulic function and sealing capabilities. Might be a good idea to have your builder to install a vac mod kit to help rule out the vehicle. Vince

yeah its gotta be either a blockage some where or some major wear that was overlooked...maybe even a seal that wasnt replaced or is damaged

have like problem, trans complete rebult with good clutch pack and all "good" parts ?7-800 miles ago ( time wise about little over a year ago) have not been to track after rebuild, have ran hard on street 30-40 times
with only street tires, rollng about 60-65 mph jump on it ----rpm s jump to rev limt -6800
must, must drive home 10 miles in 2nd gear, as I no longer work it looks as if I must learn to rebuild an automatic trans now, last trans I repaired was in mid '60s and were not autos but were std trans, o--well never to old to learn --69 last friday
just hope I can find the cause which the rebuilded missed
please everone jump in with advise
crill413 please forgive me for stepping on your post with same question
Johnny

put a shift kit in it alot of times they will have upgrades in oiling for problem areas in the trans do a corvette servo .500 boost valve and beef up your accumulators. another thing to do while youre in there is to throw in some late model 5 pinion planets for more torque capacity! good luck
