Default Transmission handling after rebuild?

When you do a rebuild on the tranny (4l60E)does that mean your car is not going to perform as well anymore as it did before the rebuild.What are the pros and cons of rebuild?THANKS

If the trans is built properly and the PCM tuned for the stall and optimal performance it should actually perform much better even than when new.

Also do I need a retune after a rebuild?

Depends on the builder and the original tune, Many builders including us prefer stock line presure settings and the removal of torque management, Also If you have changed stall speeds you will want to retune for that also
