Default Problem manually shifting a 4L60E

Went to the track Wed, ran it in OD. 1st gear shifted at 5000-5100 rpm. The car bogged. I had it programed to shift at 6500. Don't know what happened. So the next pass I manully shifted, 1 to 2 was ok, 2-3 it acted like I overshifted it and just free wheelled.

Is there normally a problem trying to manually shift these transmissions? It was recently rebuilt and usually runs fine.

Sounds to me like you might have something going on. Be careful manually shifting cause most are notoriously slow and you may bounce the rev limiter.

unless you have a shift kit that is setup for manually shifting its not a very good idea to do so
