My guess is that thing wouldn't make it to the showroom floor with less than $55k on the window. Which means dealers would want $60-65k for the first run of them at minimum.

This car is just for SEMA, I actually doubt they will go through with producing a V10 Challenger.

But we can dream right?

unless they do some major weight reductions to that car it will never be a corvette slayer.....we have an srt8 here at our shop and the thing tipped the scales at almost 3800 pounds it in my guess will still be a slug.....still looks nice though

The car is built on the last gen E series platform. I could gladly live with it and 600hp.

It's not a sports car nor does it compete with the Corvette. That's why they make the Viper.

The LX structure the Challenger uses is not related to anything Mercedes has ever made. It's a 100% American Chrysler platform that copied some of Mercedes suspension design. Drive one and you'll never mistake it for anything European.

This sounds about right, vaguely, except the Challenger rides on the updated LY, not the LX.

The LY platform is a heavily modified version of the LX platform which was a modified version of the then-outgoing model Mercedes E-class platform. It shares only a little resemblance anymore to the Mercedes design.

And you're right, it isn't a sports car...it's a true Intermediate coupe...which the Charger should've been in the first place. The sedan should've been named Coronet.

This new Challenger is no pony car ...

Hard to say no to something rolls off the assembly line with that much power and a warranty.

View from the front looks nasty. Hopefully the front and hood scoop get a little more work.
