Good points.

I also agree that anything with four cylinders is not a Camaro.

No, but it will be gone here shortly, and the Cruze (if it has an "SS" model) would be heavier, thus spoiling some of the fun (albeit not that much). I think a smaller car than the Cobalt, even with less power, can make a dent in the market. I see SS/TCs all over around here, all driven be young people. Now less weight in the new Aveo + LNF =

I haven't, those are fun and fast little cars, especially the turbo version.

any articles/sources i can read up on this?! thats big news. will it share the 5.5L from the C6R? (or thats what i heard. i mean, it would make sense as 5 & 8 are the only numbers left before B-Z starts getting used.)

As long as this platform takes the 6th gen Camaro back to 3,4xx-3,5xx weight I'm all for it. And I don't want to ride on 19s or 20s either.

Wow, I didn't know they were getting rid of it

Oh well, learn something new everyday. I assume they just weren't selling enough of them?

The Cobalt is being replaced by the Cruze later this year, which is sourced from Opel. The car looks better for GM (higher quality, better interior, etc.) to better take on Honda, Toyota, Ford, etc., but I don't think it'll be as fun as the Cobalt SS
