I don't care much for the exterior styling of that car. I think the 2010-11 GT500 is better looking. I'm wondering if similar results could be had with a FRPP blower kit, Steeda (or similar) suspension, and a big-brake setup on a new 5.0 GT?
That GT350 puts down good numbers. There's no denying that.

people are always impressed by 0-60 but i think 0-150 is the new measure for production cars....
alot of the ls3's and mustangs that leave the floor will be modded and power wont be a problem.....
weight and aerodynamics are the issue (look at a gt500 vs a ls3 vette at the same price range the vette is down nearly 100hp but faster to 150 by 3.5 seconds!!!!)
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...y_gt500_page_2
a vette with a cam, a nitrous kit, and headers is more than a match for nearly all modded gt500s from a punch.. at the high end mph where cars these days seem to be running (60- 150 and more) the vette has a distinct advantage vs the brick mustang (even the gt350 is a brick and heavy at the same $)
my money is in the overall package weigth aero hp and drivability. at the same $ the vette is the true competitor for these gt500s and gt350s, and it outshines them in most categories
give us a budget gt40 and then we can see what ford can do ..
something like this with the 5.0

oh silly mustang boys... one test comes out and this car makes the z28 look sad? LOL magazine racing at its finest. You can compare the z28 to the cts-v coupe but you dont know for sure what GM will give the LSA engine yet in z28 trim. And how easy it is to forget the cts-v weighs 4250 and runs bottom 12's at 118mph...
