Great news for the Memphis area. Dover has accepted a $2.625 million bid from a Florida investment group for the Memphis Motorsports Park. The park was closed in Oct of '09. Hopefully it will open soon.

Wow, that's really cheap for that facility, I was there for the very first LSX Shootout back in 2007 and it's a real nice layout. I would think that the land/acreage alone is worth that much.
The only problem I see is the same thing that usually kills deals like that, the back taxes/late fees/penalties and such that are still owed on the land.

Me too, I loved racing there. It's a bit of a drive, but a nice facility. Can't wait!!
