Those are definately some good numbers for the weight it has to pull around. Convertibles have never been my cup of tea, but this should help widen the market for the camaro and give it a boost in sales.

I thought the curb weight was actually somewhat low. I thought it'd be more. Definitely a cow though but oh well, should sell well

Everyone is buying these (and Mustangs and Challengers) instead of Corvettes now.

I think its a neat car but man for 40k+ id go for the vette. It'd be worth more in the long run and much faster, but hey thats just me.

Yeah you can't touch a new Vette in the low 40's anywhere around here either. 2-3 year old cars are still fetching $42k.

There are several Vettes at dealerships around here that are listed for $46-$49k. No doubt in my mind what I'd rather have. But I'm sure the cars will sell well.

I think the simple decider is four seats vs. two. Not something you or I would really consider in a decision between the two cars, but I really think that's why the Camaro is such a hot seller even while it's this close to Vette territory.

To me it's no contest either. Though i've always been partial to the more sleek, precision-type approach as opposed to the brute force idea. So the Vette is more "me" I suppose.

Funny, its still lighter then the Challenger.

The weight of this car will not change until the car gets its refresh since they are putting it on a different platform.

They have a fully equipped model they tested, so yeah that can really rack up the price since options add up quickly.

BTW, Base bottom of the line C6 starts at 48k.

Just because 1 dealer near you has one for cheaper then MSRP doesnt mean they all will when comparing prices you have to do MSRP not what some random dealer does.

True, base price on the already pretty well equipped SS 'vert is $37.5k, not too bad all things considered.
