This guy must have been spanked by a few too many dsm's... Don't worry though, your not the only one that has been repeatedly spanked on.

Not sure what that has to do with anything.
Just because someone prefers domestic nameplate vehicles over imported ones doesn't mean that it's only because they had gotten beaten by one LOL.
I've never been beaten by the few DSMs or Evos that I've raced (and yes, I do know that there are plenty out there that could destroy me) but whether I have or haven't been beaten by one still has no influence on why I choose predominantly GM and Ford vehicles.

Do you really think I was serious about the Corolla S and Civic si being sports cars? What's really sad about the Corolla S is that they didn't even bump up the horsepower. I believe the only difference it has is a front and rear lip spoiler.

The funny thing about DSMs is that they were a joint effort between Mitsubishi & Chrysler, so DSMs are at least half American.

You're kidding--- right?

$45k for a POS that doesn't handle, can only stop twice and costs FORTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS.

You sell mopars, huh?
a new Evo X with NAV starts just under $41K....I don't sell Mopars, I don't even particularly care for Mopars, but you must work for them designing this ultra-rare braking system that, according to you, only lets the car stop twice.

LOL... I mean stop twice hard without boiling the brake fluid.

And my 2003 (not NEW... set me back a whopping $9900 over 2 years ago). I'm comparing ANY NEW AMERICAN CAR as requested. American WITH the FRICK.

BTW a 4 banger vs. a 400? hp v8 in the same weight vehicle? Maybe the 4's gonna havta work harder to keep up... Before it's worn out!

Does ur Dodge come AWD WITH a 6-speed???

I think I hear your rear main leaking.....

the c5 z06 runs 11's bone stock without needing all wheel drive and you can get one for under $20,000.....and the c5 z06 looks wayyyyyy better and gets better gas mileage

Exactly.

I mean, if we're going to pull out the used car card here then all bets are off.
Proper comparisons generally involve either two new cars or two used cars, not sure at what point comparing a used 8-9 year old Mitsubishi to current 2011 models became the norm.

Lemme know--- maybe I've been missing something.

We're going a little off topic here.... This was only asking What new AMERICAN car had 4 doors, AWD and was not a tugboat.

Corvette.... great car in the snow for me, my wife and my two kids... (sarcasm)

There are also better options than an evo, for an awd family car.....some people need turbos, awd and a thousand computers to make up for there lack of driving skills

the hole in the side of your head is what's leaking.....I'm sure there are plenty of people who could make 2 panic stops without boiling the brake fluid. I'm not really sure what your 4 cylinder vs. 8 cylinder comment has to do with anything. If they are both spinning 6500 RPM they are both working just as hard.

make up your mind what you want us to find for you....first it was just something that was American and AWD sedan, now you throw in that it has to weigh as much as your precious Evo....now you want to know if the Charger has a 6 speed.

If you don't want a Charger, don't buy one....the rest of us here are happy to see the Evo and its long-haired skater boy drivers get the wind taken out of their sails.

Maybe if DSM started building reliable cars
http://www.cars.com/go/advice/Story....ct=most_depend

I used to own a Starion and many DSM owners are some of the biggest nut swingers I have ever seen type opinions on the net.

How many Eclipse owners have had crank issues? Why is it the only models anyone really think of as Mitsubishi are Evo's, Eclipse, and 3000Gt's? If they could build a better Galant and make a memorable SUV they might be able to survive.

Without a large partner to team with I doubt that Mitsubishi will continue in America. Their products are forgettable and bland. They don't have the strong following Honda, and Toyota have. Their sales in the basement.
http://online.wsj.com/mdc/public/pag...autosales.html
They are a forgettable company, without a halo vehicle, they will fall from the map.
