You know what the best part of it all is though? The fact that in 5yrs when they depreciate you can have 500-600hp cars for under $25k. 07 Cobra you can have under 30k. C5 Z06 low miles you can have under 23k. GTO you can have dirt cheap. CTS-V under 20k. SRT8 charger/300/jeep under 25k. I LOVE THE USED MARKET

The other best part of this is that the people who can initially afford these $45K+ cars are old retiree's, who in turn, don't typically "beat" on anything or even "modify" the air filter. So when their LEASE is up, you can pick up a CLEAN low mile car for "cheap".

I've never read anything that said anything other than it being 5.4 based. Anybody else smell a Boss 351 in the making?

+1 The Condor block just gets a bigger bore.

Although, I heard there is a possibility that the 5.8 will also incorporate variable cam timing a la 5.0.

Everything I have ever seen regarding a 5.8 engine in the GT 500 has stated it was based off the 5.4. Does that make it 100% certain? Of course not, but that seems to be the prevailing attitude. See posts above.
