Informative video and well done. GM really is shifting in all directions with this Camaro.
EDIT: After watching it, all seemed great, then I recalled hearing, "but this new car ...doesn't have an all aluminum 427." Upon hearing that, what will many people think? He did go on immediately to say it's a 6.2L engine...
I read something else that made me think, "That's odd" and that is, this engine has cast pistons... Is that correct? It didn't come from this video, btw.
I wouldn't go that far. GM offered a 1LE in the 4th gen. They also offered a Firehawk, WS6, SS, Z/28, Formula and special editions of nearly all the above.
What they didn't do, is keep it around and install a supercharger or use more cubes.
