I doubt things really get leaked, I think most these leaks are staged by the manufacturer to drum up some more anticipation for the final release.

Too vanilla, still.

The new Viper on the other hand is hotness inside and out.

I agree on the vanilla part but the new viper doesn't do it for me. It's a little too European and refined. I expect them to be edgy, scary, and raw.

Agreed. I think the rear quarter looks very 458ish.

Everyone was saying the same thing just before the C6 first came out. Corvette purists were complaining about the exposed headlights and blah blah blah

For real? You don't remember the vette guys kicking and screaming about the exposed headlights saying it wasnt true to the corvettes roots even though they started life with exposed headlights.

Most people LOVE the way the 5th gen looks and that's why sales are so good only the small group of people that live life a quater mile at a time complain.

I think the lack of gay *** flip up headlights was the best thing to happen to Corvettes since the ls1.

The only car on the planet I can think of that doesn't suffer from the look of pop ups is the 4th gen ls1 Firebird (even the lt1s suffer from the look IMO)

Wait... Those are headlights? I thought they were emergency air brakes. I thought anyone with those type of lights needed an air brake endorsement on their license. lol

I agree. The pop up lights are ugly when up. But I have yet to see a better option when it comes to a fixed headlight. (on the birds that is) I think they were/are a necessary evil on those cars.

That side glass between the B and C pillar looks like it came off the GTR. I actually am a fan of that rendering, if it does look like that I would be interested in getting one.

Has the traditional round tails.

I kinda like that! The corvette really needed something to make it look aggressive imo and that may do the trick. Excited for the full reveal now. I've always thought the corvette was very bland for having one of the baddest motors in the world that would make other much more expensive supercars think twice.

I feel almost the EXACT same way.

so you think an 86 looks better than a 63?

Personally, after the Mako-Shark, until the C5 was terrible. C5 was a nice upgrade, and they really nailed it with the C6. 63-67 is still my favorite.

i just think the corvette has gone a wrong direction since the C3.

look i know folks want to compete against exotics in the looks dpeartment. They want the corvette to be considered in the same realm IMO.

that is not the market for the vette. LOW, STYLED, FLARED. styling man.

its an american sports car. i dont want foreign influences. thats why me and Tracy will be getting a 80ish model. too bad.

THAT car looks like a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon. exactly like a tiburon.

You know when you're on the toy isle with your kids and you come across the Hotwheels? There's always those over the top versions of the cars and you ask yourself, "Why can't they just make these normal looking"? That's how I feel about that rendering above. There seems to be too much extra (catch a kid's eye) crap on it...hood vents, front fender vents, break vents, rear fender vents, wing, window sticker outer, etc.

I remember liking the 1991's better than the 85-90's, then liking the C5s better than the C4s. When the C6s came out, I really liked the improvement. I'm sure the C7 will be better than the C6, but I'm not too crazy about that rendering. We'll just have to wait and see the real thing.

Couldn't agree more...that's why I just traded my truck for a Mongoose 63 Grand Sport

I guess you got me there. The c4 is the exception. Never liked those at all so I tend to ignore them. Nothing but a box with some of the ugliest wheels ever made on them.

take a close look at the badge on the side, and it says ZR1. that explains a lot of the venting
