AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — The base 2013 Dodge Charger AWD Sport starts at $33,685, including a $995 destination charge, reflecting a $1,395 premium over the base 2013 Dodge Charger SXT AWD.

The base Dodge Charger AWD Sport is spun off the Charger SXT. The base 2013 Charger SXT AWD starts at $32,290, including shipping.

The top-of-the-line 2013 Dodge Charger AWD Sport starts at $36,685, including shipping. The top-of-the-line Charger AWD Sport is based on the Charger R/T Plus.

The new 2013 Dodge Charger AWD Sport goes on sale in the first quarter of 2013.

Chrysler said the Charger AWD Sport builds "on the success of the rear-wheel drive and blacked-out styled Dodge Charger Blacktop." The company said the Blacktop package has accounted for up to 25 percent of Charger SXT sales.

The Charger AWD Sport gets a unique Gloss Black painted split-crosshair grille and grille surround, 19-inch polished aluminum wheels with Gloss Black pockets, all-season performance tires, a rear body-color spoiler, sport seats and a Beats Audio system. It also gets paddle shifters with "sport mode," the first time the feature has been available on Charger AWD models.

The Charger AWD Sport is equipped with either a 300-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine or a 370-hp 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine. The Charger AWD Sport with the V6 engine features a new cold-air induction system and sport-tuned exhaust.

The 2013 Charger AWD Sport undercuts the 2013 Ford Taurus SHO AWD. The Taurus SHO AWD starts at $39,995, including a $795 destination charge.

Edmunds says: Extroverted styling and the ability to tackle winter driving should make the 2013 Dodge Charger AWD Sport a winner in some circles.

I have to admit, If I still lived in Michigan, I'd consider one of these for my DD. Chevy needs to pull their heads out of their *** and make something similiar AWD LSX powered.

instead they will make another stupid fugly crossover....sigh....but the soccer moms will eat them up.

The AWD appeal is really growing on me. I wish there were more options to consider, but the Charger is not a bad one.
