6th Gen Camaro Renderings...
#22
To me the natural progression of the 5th and the 6th gen should have been improving the 4th, not trying for a retro anything. The powerplants and powertrains evolved accordingly but the platforms seemed to have moved in the the wrong direction, IMO.

I'd like to see the 6th Gen look unique - as you put it, an evolution of the 4th Gen. I guess if they insist on staying retro, that 3rd Gen rendering is my favorite.

First pic, lower right picture is ****** prime. I'd looooove to see a final, better proportioned, non-concept cartoon picture of something like that. Have it tip the scales at 3300 pounds with a 400hp 6 liter, call it a Z28, and it'll sell like cake to a fat chick.
AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BRING BACK THE MULLET TOPS!!!!

GM did the right thing when they decided to stop production and start all over. Why? because they sell a lot of Camaro now. I agree the platform is too heavy, but nobody was complaining in 2010, because the Mustang didnt have the 5.0l and was slow as ****. The Camaro was the top dog then.
But now its a different story after the Coyote arrival, they need a lighter platform to beat it with the LS3. A lighter platform WITH the LT1; its gonna be ugly for Ford. Everebody is so hyped up about the 5.0(I guess its normal when youve been the underdog for so many years with the GT 4.6l VS the LS1), but in fact the LS3 is dead on with it, just need to shave weight. Juts look at the C6 Vette performance, for exemple.
Make the 6th gen 3500lbs, with the LT1, and good styling and its going to be a success. We all know that its gonna happen(thank you ATS). Plp are gonna get their bigger trunk and interior space too.
For styling, it has to be an evolution of the present gen. Anything too radical would be a huge guess/suicide for upcoming sales.
