I've been noticing that some of the harshest critics of the C7 just happen to be owners of the C6... Getting a little worried are we? Is it seriously that bad of a ego hit that not only does the base engine use the awful LT1 designation? Or that, god forbid, the vents on the C7 just happen to be very functional and serve a purpose??
And some of the people complaining about edgy styling?? My goodness people if you want to drive a swoopy bubble car with no character I think ford had one of those in the late 90's called a taurus!

Nothing more than some serious back road driving. The ZR1 and Z06 are made to be track monsters that are way more capable than the base C7, and neither have any sort of cooling back there, nor do they have hood vents used for cooling. I think they are much more for looks than anything else. If it was supercharged and the hood vent was used for cooling the intercooler, that I could see, but the coolant temp on my car never really moves when driving it hard on 90+ degree days.
Besides all of that, an overlooked flaw to so many flashy vents is the fact that you're going to have to let the car dry for hours after washing it if you don't want water streaks all over the place

I also don't see the point of adding vents unless they are functional. I don't see vents as making the car look any better. And I'm pretty sure we all can agree on the functionality of the hood vent which has been proven by the Corvette racing team all the way back to C5s.

I'm liking the C7 the more I see it, but they need to take that rear diffuser and color match it to the rest of the vehicle. Looks cheap when the rest of the car is painted and that's sitting back there grey and dull looking.
