Funny thing is I missed that vert by about 5 min being loaded up. Brother and I went to Bowling Green and just finished up the plant tour and went back to the gift shop and I saw the truck there with the door open. Thought the wheel looked different and realized it was the C7Z and snapped a shot of the rear fender vent and wheel. Was there for the 2015 production showcase or something they said.

Very nice but for my meager income....I'll just keep plugging along in my old sedan making one little modification at a time until one of these days...my performance will be "notable".

I really do have fun though.

Eh.... 10hp... eh...

The Viper has far bigger concerns, like low sales in general and chronic fuel economy issues. No, those don't matter to the person who can actually afford the car, but they matter to the company as a whole, since it affects their overall cafe' standard position. I don't see the car lasting much longer unless there's a MASSIVE change in store, including a smaller engine(maybe a 6.2L S/C'd V8) and a lower price, plus better economy.

I agree with this, but that V10 needs a modern overhaul immediately...

10yrs ago... maybe even 5, I'd have agreed, but today, it only depends on whether or not they want the car. The V10 simply must go. It won't meet continuously more stringent EPA nonsense.

It won't meet fuel economy standards now and at some point, Dodge will have to take into account, they don't offer so many models anymore.

GM has made it clear now, how it is handling the garbage... forced induction with a smaller engine.

In the best scenario I could imagine it being replaced by a smaller displacement V10, say a 6.7-litre unit instead of the current leviathan, with 4 valves per cylinder.
However that's being too optimistic. Unless the entire full-size truck segment goes the Ford way and downsizes mechanically, I can't imagine anything other than US environmental agencies becoming increasingly strict and penalizing small-volume high performance cars like the Viper and even most V8s.

i honestly don't think a agency should be able to make laws without congressional votes and the EPA needs to go away

Your typing finger to God's eyes... since our Congress refuses to listen to us... maybe He can rattle them a little.

Is it just me or does that graph look like it hasn't even peaked and nosed over yet? I wouldn't be surprised if it makes more power at a higher RPM than they rate it at.

Looks good here... like it makes 600ish or more torque from around 26-5800rpm
