I know this has nothing to do with the news but I can't find the off-topic section for some reason (why?). And please DO NOT!!!!! include any tuners such as Hamann, Brabus or Hennessey, thanks!

I think you are missing the point. The real question is "who first offered 600hp in a production sedan?"
For model year 2005 BMW introduced the E60 M5 with that glorious 5.0 V10 with an 8250rpm redline, 507hp, 385lb-ft torque.
Over at Benz in AMG world, for my 2005, we got the S65 AMG. M275 5.0 liter V12, twin turbo, SOCH, 3 valves per cylinder, 2 spark plugs, 22psi of boost. 604hp, 738lb-ft torque.
The same engine, with smaller turbos, remapped ecu and a bunch of other tweaks now also powers the Pagani Huayra. 720hp/740lb-ft torque in a car that weighs 2900lbs, that'll put some hair on your ***** lol.
