Default Old NASCAR could be a fun track toy...

There's no mention in the post about whether this car is set up for ovals, or whether it would be work on a twisty circuit. That said, this seems like it would be easier to run than some other dedicated race cars, given the powerplant. Does anyone have any experience with an ex-NASCAR machine? More info here.

I did the Richard Petty experience, where the cars were the generation right before of the Car of Tomorrow, and it was a hoot. Way more intimidating than I thought it would be...

The NASCAR Oval and road race chassis are TOTALLY different, even with a lot of dinking around the oval cars don't turn right very well, there is a lot of stuff going on in the chassis design. But the good thing is I've seen single season road course cars for cheap as complete rollers, just need a trans and engine.

A standard road race chassis and body, will do about 150 at the breaking zone of the front straight at Portland International (about 3/8 mile long) with a standard chevy 400 hp crate engine, we used to have a guy that rented them he had a dozen or so.. Always good for carnage with the arrive and drive group..

The really great part is they are actually fairly cheap to repair and easy to work on since everything comes off..
