Lexus To Debut GS450h @ Frankfurt

While BMW continues to add cylinders and revs, Audi ditches turbochargers in favor of cylinders and revs and Merc ditches blowers in favor of displacement and revs, Lexus is going in a totally different direction. Apparently they've chosen to go with Hybrids for their performance lineup beginning with the already introduced RX400h. The whack thing is that the numbers in the name refer to what Toyota thinks is the equivalent displacement of the combined ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and the electric motors. So basically in Toyota's opinion, the 3.5L V6 and the electric motors would combine to form a 4.5L engine. Should be interesting to see what this thing can do.
