If I wanted retro, I'd buy something from that era. I think it's so lame these cars are coming back the way they are. January is going to suck, when I see a camaro concept that looks like that 1st gen rendering you all love.

Here it is on the cover of MPH. Starting at $28,000.

Don't count on the 6.1L Hemi being the standard engine though.

I wonder it the 6.1 option will include all of the other SRT8 crap like the Magnum and the Charger? All most of us want is the motor; not the even bigger heavier wheels, navigation etc, etc.

There's a possibility the 6.1 Hemi could be the standard engine at that price. It's likely Chrysler will have an even bigger Hemi reserved for the SRT-8 cars by the time the Challenger is released.

I was reading about a 392 hemi somewhere, I am not sure if it is going to be produced and if it is just a stroked 6.1 but rumors have it being ~500 hp if I remember correctly, it was on a dodge forum somewhere. Anyone else know about this?

It's Mopar's latest crate engine based on the new Hemi block. It sounds like it's a direct swap for the 5.7/6.1 and probably gives a glimpse of the SRT-8's future.

I think i read on allpar.com that it's going to be a 392 c.i. hemi (6.4 liters). I heard there suppose to release it as a crate motor and possibly bring it into production at about 510 hp.

That is a gorgeous car. I couldn't help but notice the quarter glass on the sides that rolls down like the old Challengers.
