I recall several sets of vehicles that received noticeably different reliability and safety ratings from Consumer Reports over the years:

Chevrolet Astro---GMC Safari Safari was safer

Mitsubishi Eclipse--Plymouth Lazer Eclipse was more reliable

Ford Contour--Mercury Mistique Mistique safer

Chevrolet Silverado--GMC Sierra Sierra safer & more reliable

Chevrolet S10--GMC Sonoma Sonoma safer

Now we all know that the only differences between these pairs is the grille and the horn badge. Wow, gotta be careful when you buy a vehicle. Those emblems sure can affect the safety and reliability of the vehicle

I can't read any reference to consumer reports without thinking to myself "What if that had anything to do with reality?"

I thought all C5's have it. reguardless of manual or automatic cause the key is in the dash and not the column.

Consumer Reports sucks big *****. They say the corvette/camaro is bad, and say that the mustang is a reliable used car

Agree completely. I have had two vettes and about 8 ls1 f-bodies. No electrical, no piston slap, no oil burn no rattles unless I left the jack loose on an f-body.

I even have an 01 Zo6 thats supposed to have oil burn and steering lock problems. Never even a hint of a problem. It is the fastest and best engineered car I have had to date.

Just plain BS. from jealous chrysler/ford owners.

By the way I am looking for another low mile GN. So maybe I am crazy.
