Audi R8 Rumors
http://www.fourtitude.com/news/publi...cle_2113.shtml
A little bit of speculation as to how much the production R8 will differ from the Le Mans concept. Personally I think the Le Mans was a hot concept and the R8 will definitely be a stunner. There are a ton of rumors as to what will lie under the hood of the R8. Early rumors suggested the 414hp 4.2L FSI V8 from the RS4 as a sort of base engine with the 5.2L V10 from the S6 and S8 being the engine for the top of the line R8. However with Audi running it's twin turbo TDI V12 at Le Mans this year, there are now rumors that the production R8 may be available with a TT TDI V12 of it's own. This would definintely set it apart from the Gallardo but would people welcome a 500-600hp Diesel supercar? Audi also has to be careful not to cannibalize Gallardo sales with an uberpowerful R8. It'll be interesting to see how much the production model differs from the concept in the coming months. Regardless, I think the R8 will be a hot car.
