Maybe they mean 0-60 mph wheel speed in 1.67 seconds. You don't need 1005 HP to do that. Rev it up; dump the clutch.

& i would guess you were right about computer generated figures, according to the builder the car would have no official test figures untill after the unveiling at the British international motor show!
