What makes you guys think that thing won't do 13.9 in the quarter? Sure its heavy but its got 380hp and I doubt its going to fall out of its powerband when it shifts.

with a $93,000 price tag, i will pass. Even with the massage chairs in the back its not worth it. It has some cool stuff but not that much.

Yep, as long as the power and weight numbers posted above are accurate it should be able to pull a 13.9 in the quarter. Hell, GM trucks(regular cab, short bed) weighing in at ~4300-4400lbs pull 14.9's and better with a old 5.3L which was rated at 285hp.

its not that hard to believe considering the 2007 audi s6 runs a low mid 13 with 420 hp weighing 4200+

i will take the s6 any day of the year over the lexus

There's a video floating around the net showing a couple guys testing the automatic parking. They didn't fare too well.

They were trying to park the vehicle in a parking spot. They weren't trying to parallel park it, like the system was designed.

First gear is around 4.6x:1, its rediculous. My grandfather works for Hennessy Lexus of Atlanta and they had the chance to drive the ***** of of these cars at road atlanta recently. He says its good for what its advertised for. If anyone wants more details about the car, feel free to give him a ring. His name is Bob Smithson.

FWIW even older (1997 model) LS400s ran in the 14s. The LS430s ran low low 14s. I see no reason why the new one with the 8 speed and a more refined motor shouldnt run a 13.9?

That's NOT the LS. That's the new IS-F. The IS is the entry level Lexus, their BMW 3er if you will. The F model packs a 5.0L V8 and the same 8 speed automatic (no stick shift in a compact sports sedan = ) as its big brother LS but the two cars are completely different from one another.
