Hey, enjoy fellows cause it ain't gonna last much longer. The same **** that happened to us old farts back in the sixties & early seventies when we were your age now is going to happen again.Gas is going to go to over $100.00 a barrel and that means $5.00 a gallon gas plus the insurance companies are fixin to step in with much higher rates to off set Katrina pay outs. In California if you are caught street racing the cops take your ride & crush it. Guess what, how goes the west coast goes the rest of the nation.

Alarmist

Yeah, gas went up back then, and then what happened in the late '90s? Gas dropped to some of the lowest prices in decades during the asian recession. It goes up, it goes down. Such is life. Anyway, you make it sound like you were around back in the '60s/'70s, how old are you then? Looking at your profile you weren't even a thought in anyone's mind back then.

And what does insurance and street racing have to do with global warming?

, but, what facts do you have that insurance will be drastically going up? And CA stuff doesn't always make it's way across the country. CARB has been around for how long? Most states still don't enforce CARB regs or emissions in general as strictly as CA does.

Ls1wfo you are the prototypical mindless, easily fooled consumer. You complain about stuff you do not understand, and when you are given information about it, you switch into zombie mode and fail to process anything.

Do not post stupid commentary and expect to not be challenged on it. If you are not going to pay attention to the responses, why post? Just put your blinders back on, think whatever you want to think, and keep your simplistic criticisms to yourself.

ONLY A FOOL BLURTS OUT EVERYTHING HE KNOWS. The fool attempts to fool himself and won't face facts. A prudent man forsees the difficulties ahead and prepares for them, the simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences .

Only a fool would assume that he can forsee tomorrow armed only with a narrow view of today's uncertain speculation and theories. Wise men do not buy into alarmist attitudes. Level, cooler heads will prevail. Smart money plans ahead for a number of potential future circumstances, not just a single doomsday scenario.

You should really put quotes around plagerized material instead of passing it off as your own thoughts......

Perhaps you can cite your references.

You give hippies alot of credit by insinuating they pull millions of dollars together in order to propagate a fictitious environmental issue. What is their motive? The entire presidential cabinet recieves funding from Exxon, but not a dime from Greenpeace.

Is it surprising that after Bush overthrough Saddam all Iraq National oil was converted back to private corporations including Exxon? 3K US soldiers dead, 25K US soldiers injured, $350 Billion tax dollars later, Exxon has a piece of Iraq oil. Do we ignore the 2M Iraqi citizens that have fleed the country or the estimated 80K Iraqi citizens killed?

It amazes me the (take your pick) anger/fear/frustration demonstrated by anti-environmentalists. If global warming is BS, then why even raise an eyebrow when Greenpeace found Exxon spent $60M between 2000-2006 to debunk? Why not just ignore this thread? Or, is it a knee jerk reaction to get others to become anti-environment?
