Is it surprising that after Bush overthrough Saddam all Iraq National oil was converted back to private corporations including Exxon? 3K US soldiers dead, 25K US soldiers injured, $350 Billion tax dollars later, Exxon has a piece of Iraq oil. Do we ignore the 2M Iraqi citizens that have fleed the country or the estimated 80K Iraqi citizens killed?

It amazes me the (take your pick) anger/fear/frustration demonstrated by anti-environmentalists. If global warming is BS, then why even raise an eyebrow when Greenpeace found Exxon spent $60M between 2000-2006 to debunk? Why not just ignore this thread? Or, is it a knee jerk reaction to get others to become anti-environment?
Of course its all Bush's fault like everything else in the world. Any global warming that is happening is not a result of human beings, you must be very arrogant to think that us humans can have such an effect of the earth. The earth has gone through warming and cooling periods for millions of years.

Of course the oil companies are going to fight back, they haver to to stay in business. If they didnt the hippies would attemp to pretty much shut them down, well unitl these same hippies cant fly in their jets anymore because gas is gone. I love it, do you think Al Gore is going to give up his lavish lifestyle(private jets, SUV's, big house that consumes lots of energy) to help the earth, nope.

Wasn't trying to imply that it was Bush's fault. He's too stupid to be at fault. Kind of like sending a 5 year old to jail for shooting someone. Whos the dumbass that gave the kid a gun?

In this case, most of the blame in Iraq can be pointed to Dick and Rumsfield directly, and the uninformed american public indireclty. However, the underlying problem is that business and foreign governments can buy politians via lobbiest. This occurs with both Democrats and Republicans. I would not be surprised if Exxon buys democrats also. They are probably cheaper ;-)

I have not resorted to calling you names. With all the mounting evidence from both liberal and conservative institutes, would it be arrogant to assume they are all wrong without investigating it yourself? It only takes about 4-6 hours to read all the arguements agreeing with and dismissing global warming.

War doesn't go exactly as planned. There are psychotic terrorists as enemies.

Oh, it's funny how liberals call Bush stupid. AD HOMINEM!

What's the "Plan?" Bush apparently doesn't have one.

Its funny how neo-cons blindly follow their leader without questioning his direction. There are freedom fighters that lost their entire families to our bombs. Maybe we're the terrorists. Remember that the US is occupying Iraq, not the other way around.

If you feel good supporting his policy (or lack thereof) good for you. How's it feel to be the minority? As far as calling Bush stupid, it aint just liberals. Its conservatives too.

Why don't YOU tell US? Seems that you're in the minority on this site in terms of your views on global warming and it's causes.

Sad that fellow enthusiasts don't take the time to think for themselves regarding this issue, but swallow one agenda hook, line and sinker. Sad that someone might feel threatened that their livelyhood, hobby, enjoyment etc. is at risk. Sad that corporations like Exxon can manipulate so easily. But, I'll get over it as soon as I click Post Quick Reply.

Most of us do think for ourselves, you on the other hand probably worship Al Gore(who BTW invented the Internet ). It is silly to really think that we, mere humans that still dont even know of all of the species of life that are on this planet, can possibly alter the Earth in such a way that we will destroy it. I just dont buy it.

Sad that you actually believe that one line of thinking must be correct, just because the media propagates it so well. And sad that you follow this line of thinking on global climate change and its causes just because it is the popular opinion at the moment (remember there was also a time when most people believed the world was flat, popular opinion was wrong then, too).

Mostly, it's sad that anyone can be so sure on the root cause of such a misunderstood issue. Frankly, I don't personally know why the planet has recently become marginally warmer than it was, say 50 years ago, but I can tell you this; I'm not going to jump to any alarmist conclusions like you left-wing liberal extremists do, and start blaming cars and big business for everything. You are the same type of people that blame guns and gun makers for killing the innocent, rather then blaming the people that use them for crime…..the same sort of people that blame tobacco companies for people smoking, rather than blaming the people who light up the cigarette. Glad I don't belong to your group.

Why is the ice shelf in greenland getting thicker if global warming is happeneing? Why is it so ******* cold on the west coast right now? There is no overall warming on a global scale.
