DC was stupid not to capitalize on the hype that surrounded the Exelero when it debuted on the circuit in '05. Yes it was only built as a big *** high speed test platform for Fulda Tyres, but the reactions to its design were overwhelmingly positive. This is just the kind of car Maybach needs if it wants to be seen as a serious alternative to Bentley and Rolls-Royce. The half assed 57 and 62 are seen as nothing more than glorified S-Class saloons. Unfortunately with DC currently assfucking itself from every single direction possible it seems unlikely that the Exelero will ever see full scale production. Furthermore with Mercedes unveiling its S-Class Ocean Drive concept at Detroit this year, I'm convinced that they're seriously contemplating selling off or possibly killing off the Maybach brand. What a wasted opportunity. /rant

Isn't it the car thats in the new Jay-Z vid? I saw the it a while back and couldn't figure it out. I love the exterior but for the money they could have made the interior a little more classy.

$8M in R&D is quite different than how much the car would cost if it was available to the public, the article is kind of deceiving. However the car looks .. eh ... IMO, the front looks good, but the rest looks like crap to me, and 0-60 in 4.4 sec? Are you kidding, for the cost it better be AT LEAST a second quicker.

That thing is pimp as hell. 0-60 in 4.4? Thats good, it's 6000 pounds. And on top of that, baller and luxurious as hell.

Nothing says big dawg, like an 8mil. dollar car.
