The current 430hp car has trouble hooking up with 285 width tires in the back.
The current 505hp Z06 has trouble hooking up with 325 width tires in the back.
I'm betting that the 600hp Viper still has trouble hooking up with 345 width tires in the back.
I wonder how wide they will be able to go with the 650hp ZR1?

... I for one would like to apologise for my irresponsible post, seen above. I wasnt thinking before I typed. I should be shunned, perhaps even banned, for mentioning any Civic, even the 2007 Si , in the same thread as the upcoming world-beater that will be the Corvette ZR-1.
To the entire LSx world... I apologize.
All Hail the ZR-1

Hell 2.2 KB Cobras are making what this motor is going to be putting down stock. Full exhaust, pulley, tune and maybe a clutch and you will have a stock-ish car that will smoke about 99.99999% of all **** on the road. I hate to say it though, I was disappointed that GM didn't decide to put a forged LS7 with a blower in the ZR-1. A little overkill and the motor would have massively been detuned. But ZR1 is perfect, don't think GM could have picked a better name to remake.

I love the fact that they are going to be using the ZR 1 name for the new exotic vette, very apropriate. But I have to wonder how this thing is going to hold up on a road course with all this power. I'll bet it'll oversteer like crazy...not that its a bad thing I'm all about the stylin points!

Bracing for all the Ferrari and Lambo fanboys to complain about how Corvette's are dime a dozen, have crappy interiors, and ancient suspension...
All the while they are getting lapped by a car that costs probably less than 1/4 of whats theirs did and still rapes it on and off the track...

On The Tree
I read somewhere (notsure where) that chevy was adding some carbon fiber in various areas for weight reduction. The predicted final weight would be an estimated 2800-2900 pounds. Any truth to this?
