Thanks to the passing of the 35mpg fleet thing, we will never see anything like this. We better enjoy all the bad-*** big engined performance we have now, because in the future we might not have it.

I like that Holden uses the cubic inch displacement of the engine instead of liters this time around.
Why doesn't the ZO6 have 427 badges on it or on the engine covers to pay homage to 427 Corvette heritage?

We aren't basing the getting "screwed" quote just off this car alone. Look at all the new cars that Holden and Ford just showed off to be produced for the Aussies, and they look awesome. The Z06 is a fantastic car, and the ZR1 is going to be the car that sets the benchmark for what real performance is. But consider if we weren't going through all the bullsh*t of high gas prices and people crying over the enviroment, this W427 could have been the Pontiac G8 GXP. And i think that would have been awesome, but we do usually get the short end of the stick. Example the 2006 Pontiac GTO, what it should have been, 2006 Vauxhall Monaro VXR 500.

I agree. we get the same cars but the HP is always less. the w427 is basically a G8 with an ls7 in it. they also have a lesser version of the g8 with an option for a supercharger!!!!!

Well the g8 should'nt have been at all. They would've sold alot more if it would've been called a Impala, Caprice or even a Chevelle or any other name if it would've had a chevy emblem on it.

I dont know I kind of like the red leather... I think if they added some black into the mix it would be bad ***! But dam I wish Chevrolet would bring some G8 type of car back!
