New Challenger Rolls

IMO there not going to be any faster than a stock charger or 300.

In cooler air and in private hands, they will hit 12s stock.
You may be right, at least with the automatic version. But the Charger and 300 (and Magnum and Grand Cherokee) SRT-8 models ALL have high 12 second capability in stock form.
And we still have no idea what the manual trans version might be capable of.

There were two Challengers here in SoCal in April:

I think the body looks cool but I was disappointed in the interior, they should have kept the dash and console like the concept which was closer to original instead of swapping in the one from the Charger. And coming in at 4100+ lbs. what were they thinking? Are there a couple of olympic weight sets hiding in there somewhere??? Good thing it has a strong engine.

Well here's one in action from last month during the Tire Rack One Lap Of America.

If you look real close you will see the front end ripped off. He had brake issue during the first day at Road America and couldnt stop at the end of the front straight.

I would have to agree this is probably the closest retro car out there. I had a '72 cuda (similar body lines to challenger) and was please to see how well they copied the lines.
I've seen these around for quite sometime (worked at Featherstone for a bit the last few years) and these are awesome with some tweaks. Offering a manual was the best decision they coulda made. I think they will be offering an R/T version which will be a bit cheaper than srts' with the manual as an option. Once the mark up dies down I may just have to pick one up. Silver looks killer on this car.

The price of the Charger HEMI R/T was announced today. It's only $29,995 and the Track Pak only adds $995 more. That's a ******* deal.

The mark up for the SRT8 is supposed to be 20K. Naturally. I have a buddy stationed in germany, and Dodge held a raffle for one at his base for MSRP which he won. His car will be delevired here to the US in August. Trying to get him to sell it to me lol

Here's a better view of that car before it got whacked around a bit, a nice little homage to the movie 'Vanishing Point' as well.
Damn that car does look HOT in white too.
