I cannot change the state on my navigation unit. I just purchased the car last week and cannot use the navigation since the state is stuck in OHIO and i live in MARYLAND. The dealer tried swapping out like 3 different discs and nothing seemed to work it was still stuck in OHIO. I know the car has OnStar but I like seeing the map when I am using it. ANy help would be greatly appreciated since I am going on a trip tuesday and need the navigation instead of using mapquest.

You need the firmware update DVD. I not sure if the dealers have them though, I borrowed one from another member on cadillacforums.com when I was stuck in Michigan.

Usually you end up stuck in Michigan.

You need the firmware flashed.

thanks for the offer but I talked to the sales manager today since I just purchased the car and I am taking it in tomorrow for them to flash the nav system. If it does not go as planned I will let you know. Pm me the price for the disc if you can. thanks

I have the exact thing wrong with mine. Just bought it a couple weeks ago, and cannot change the state from Michigan.

Is there an ISO out there where i could burn this disk, or could someone make one and email it to me?

you need to go to a dealer and have them update the firmware. It fixed mine, if your out of warranty i dont know what they will charge you or if they will at all.
