Default CTS-V UUC Shifter

I just bought an "04 V which supposedly has a UUC shifter. However, it has a large amount of slop in it. When in any gear, it can wiggle side to side over an inch. This doesn't seem right. Does anyone know if this is normal for this shifter. Any ideas on how to confirm if it actually is a UUC? I had a UUC on an Audi S4 and it was great. I also drove a V with a B&M and it was also really slick. I am hoping I can just replace a part or tighten something to fix it.

Thoughts?

I would suspect the bushings are shot. You may want to look into UUC bushings. I'll try to find a pic for you....

Deedubb's on fire today.
The UUC is supposed to be more stock like than the B&M and the Katech. That said, I'm thinking the bushings are bad like deedubb suggested.
