Default anybody losing oil?

Ive been looking for an 05 or 06 cts-v for a while now. but today I stumbled on another forum where everybody was complaining about loosing oil in their v-6 cts and some people with cts-v. I thought I would ask for some of your comments on this issue, since many people were very pissed off and said they'd never buy a caddy agian. most of the people said they lost a quart every 800 to 1000 miles is this pretty normal for an LS2 LS6? or does it just depend how the engine is pushed? thanks

That was a V6 CTS issue, not a V issue.

The only problem with the LS engines was back in the late 90s where several years had piston rings which allowed the engine to pass minor amounts into the chamber. It was later corrected. I can't say with certainty, but I would imagine they would not have repeated the mistake as late as the CTS-Vs were rolling off the production line.
