C5 Corvette mount will work also. I have a set sitting here and they are hard rubber but short. There is a vendor on eBay that has C5 if you had to have poly for less than $100. But a spacer would be needed not unless the transmission mount was changed also.

Don't need mounts or a clutch yet so I have not pursued it.

I just swapped my drivers side mount last weekend, cats have to be dropped and exhaust manifolds have to be removed. Not really tough, but expect to bust a couple knuckles on the way.

I didn't change the passenger side as it looked fine, but the drivers side mount was destroyed. What really upsets me is that I had it to the dealer and asked them to replace the mounts as I had a bad vibration that seemed possible to be a mount. They said they checked the mounts and they were fine...

I put a factory mount back in that I purchased from a fellow member here (thanks!). It is clear that the mount fails from the upward torque of the drivers side of the engine. Someone here posted that they were using a limit strap on the drivers side which would be a great solution while remining to good isolation properties of the factory mounts.

Any chance that they would mind posting a picture of the strap or the location choosen for mounting the strap? I have used various limit methods in the past on my drag cars, but I'll be looking for slightly more refined solution here than a chain or turnbuckle.

I'll post my solution once I determine what it will be!

Thanks

as far as the uuc mounts, here is my 2 cents. that is a rip off, even with the tranny mount. they could sell them for 250 and still make money. i think they should try to make money from quantity an not get so greedy.....

if they were reasonable (250ish), they would make a quick 250 off me. instead, im going to buy GM replacements for 79 bucks....i can go through 5 of them and still be saving money......

Check out 2003RC51's mounts over on cadillac forums. Much cheaper than the UUC's and built much better! I just installed them but wont be able to test drive them until later this week but I have no qualms about them what so ever. These bad boys are heavy duty!
