Default what safe max rpm a stock ls6 handle and still make power?

like title says. goin to get car tuned next fri and was wondering whats max rpm a ls6 can handle safely but still make power. if it will handle 9k great but is it still making power? trying to see where i want my rev limiter set at. anyone get there cars tuned and up the redline and not had a problem and still makin more hp power?

i know ls6 have better heads with good springs and all that. with motor and heads handle much more rpm..... could not find any info on this stuff searching thanks!

#1 if your tuner doesnt know that himself....run very fast in the opposite direction
#2 nowhere close to 9grand....more like 6650 MAX if you want durability, and not risk spring failure etc....

I upgreaded my valvetrain, and have my limiter set a 6800 now.

Unless you are seriously dragging the car (and if you were serious, this probabaly isn't the right car anyway) I just don't see the advantage of upping the limiter much.

There is no free lunch.

I would pull mine to 7200prm. I believe it made power all the way but the motor was built. Stock, I would pull it 6500ish......MY goal for my next LS6 build is 8k rpm.....Could you imagine.....

yea doubt its worth the risk as to the beneift of getting a few more horses. set it to 6800 your prolyl gonna shift a tad early before the limiter anyways. id rather be able to have a little less power and not have to worry.
