I would not call .90 normal driving.
You have to push really hard to get to, and over 1 g. Almost to hard for street driving. Fortunately GM designs cars, in stock, form to understeer(push) vs oversteer(drift). When this car is at the point of gross understeer if you reapply the throttle and shift weight back to the rear, carefully, it seems to turn in and rails thru the corner.
But above all be careful when attempting to max out your numbers.

my .93 was on a 270 degree freeway offramp. i dont think that i can do much better than that, and im not gonna try because there isnt any room for error and i felt just a slight bit of oversteer. i haven't had the car long enough to know just how quickly this car will turn around on me.
my camaro can oversteer very quickly if im not right on top of it. id venture to say the V would be a little more forgiving.
hopefully i get get over the 1.0 mark at the track. id like to get a large open area and also try a skid pad test....

What I have found is about the time the rear is trying to step out and I am dialing in some counter steering to correct for the slide the stability control will kick in and end the fun. I will say that if your not in way over your head the car will protect you from crashing. If your beyond saviour you better have good insurance.
I would not recommend turning off any of the driving babysitters while on the street with no runoff room.
The best bet is, if you want to find out how well your car drives search out a local chapter of SCCA and try autocrossing. Or go to a HPDE at a local racetrack. The controled environment of an autocross course or a racetrack offers you a place to stretch your legs and hang it out.
Either of these forms of racing will increase your comfort level at "the edge", and should make anyone a better driver.

ive been to buttonwillow raceway a few times in my camaro. its a fun track and is only about 20mins from my house.
IMHO road racing is definitely the most fun you can have in a car. drag racing if fine, but i've found it much more frustrating than anything else (and always nervous about something breaking). i feel pretty "at home" on a road course for the little time ive been on them. i raced motocross for a long time. although completely different, i think it gave me a good ability to find smooth fast lines.

I've go to turn off the stability control/traction control because of different sized frt and rear tires on a/m wheels. Messes up the stability control. I haven't lost it yet(and I stress the yet), but this car seems to straighten up the second you try to correct. Most fun I've ever had driving a sedan in my life! As much as I use to hate GM products(former Mustang enthusiast), they knocked the ball out of the park with this Grand daddy Caddy.

Actually, the tire make is somewhat irrelevant. As long as it's not some cheap touring tire, you can make almost any tire on a V get you into the 1.20s...
The g readings you get are nothing like the car rags get on a sustained skidpad. Whip a V into a tight slalom and just slam the wheel side to side and you'll see into the 1.20s. I've had my V hit 1.29g with my Hoosier slicks. But I've also hit 1.27g with my Michelin PS2s. Are the PS2s close to the Hoosiers in sustained maximum grip? No. But you can whip your V around and spike that meter pretty easily if you can stomach the motions...

i cant wait to get out to buttonwillow on an open track day with my v. i cut some pretty impressive times in my 96 camaro back in 1999, and i know that my V will smoke my camaro on a road course!
this car has really impressed me. i didnt expect what i have gotten. i bought the car because it had the LS6 and i need 4 doors to haul the kids around, but i got more than my monies worth with this car. every time i drive it, i think to myself......"the is the best purchase ive ever made!"
